AF Group, a Ward’s 50 company for the past five years and noted for the specialty insurance solutions offered through its affiliate brands across the country, has appointed Kriss Barronton (pictured) as chief operating officer.
In her capacity as COO, Barronton will oversee several critical departments including business transformation, loss control, premium audit, service center, and corporate underwriting.
Lisa Corless, president and chief executive of AF Group, expressed enthusiasm about Barronton’s addition to the team.
She said: “We’re so pleased to welcome Kriss to our executive leadership team – and will certainly benefit from her significant experience and expertise in the industry. She will be a tremendous asset to our organization.”
Previously, Barronton held the position of automobile and international product line leader at USAA and has occupied senior roles at major insurers.
Barronton’s educational background includes an MBA in Risk Management from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. She also holds the Associate in Claims designation from The Institutes.
